Grumpy old geezer

In this photo contributed by Brian Gill, Wayne is wearing the T-shirt that Pam had bought for him and she had also bought one for Bernard so they could be like the twins on the Muppet's that always complained. He was so proud of his T-shirt that he wore it to the RTRA meeting at the Old Roan pub on the day this photo was taken. Whenever we went to these monthly meetings I would buy lunch, Bernard and I would have the beef burger with chips and Wayne the sirloin steak. The landlady would wait on him and treated him like her favourite while Bernard and I came second and third and it was me that came third every time. When Wayne finished his lunch she would open a side door (fire escape) so he could have his private smoke, he was treated like a prince. There aren't many people who come into your life and leave a huge part of themselves with you, but Wayne did with Bernard and me. You don't find friends like him who you can truly say you loved and who you could trust your life with, but for me and the other Tattersall family he was all that and more. God bless dear friend and save a place for me wherever you are.
