It has been a few weeks now since I last added to our tribute to Wayne, it is not because I have forgotten it has just been because I have been too unwell to sit at my computer. It is now April and soon we will be celebrating Easter, the death and rising of Christ in his glory, for those who are not of a religious leaning it will mean loads of chocolate eggs stolen from our children or grandchildren. For Bernard, Pam and myself and Michelle it will mean another week without our dear friend and leader Wayne Tattersall. I sometimes get angry with him, because had he just had a check up now and then this might have been seen and the appropriate treatment given leaving his friends still enjoying his time and company. It isn't often you can honestly say to yourself that you have lost a true and loyal friend, something or someone that you can put your life in trust with, we can and I am thankful to God for that privilege. He loved the Regiment (1RTR) he served with and would have stayed his full term had it not been for his ex wife, he really believed in the men he served with whereas for me, my experience of some of those men who served, I know I wouldn't put my life or trust in them. God bless Wayne I hope we meet someday soon.
