"Life marches on"

Well it is now May 15th 2010 spring is here the sun is shining and not much has changed. Life marches on, people move on and soon we seem to forget, we continue to take life for granted and we stop for no one. That may well be how it seems, but in our hearts our memories grow stronger and our love stays strong. Most of all we will never forget what Wayne meant to us his friends. Much has happened since our dear friend left us, Pam and Bernard became grandparents once again, we enjoyed being with them as Stuart and Sharon had them baptised into Gods family. Bernard has had his first major operation to restore his blood flow to one of his legs and waits for the second surgery to the other leg. I have had my chemo and Michelle prays hard every day for me. We have had a change of government one which Wayne would have hated, he would say that democracy has once again been twisted out of shape by Tory thugs. So much has changed, the WW2 veterans who Wayne held in such high esteem have won their battle to establish a new branch. Wayne once told me that nothing really changes, the cheats and the liars will remain the same. He also said that we should never give up on the world. One thing that never changes and that never will, is what we feel in our hearts, the love will remain and the fact that we will always miss him, will stay the same. I will always remember what I was told about those we lose in our lives and it is simply this; They will take a part of us with them and leave a part of them with us, I understand now just what that means. I hope you all feel that Wayne left a part of himself with you all, while taking a part of us with him when he left us. God bless Wayne, always remembered never forgotten.
